A new discussion paper entitled :
The Wealth Within: Pathways to Leadership in the Western Australian Public Sector
is now available on the Department of the Premier and Cabinet website at:
www.dpc.wa.gov.au/psmd
under Publications, Human Resource Issues

The primary purpose of this paper is to examine the evidence for the anecdotal belief that public sector leaders are largely recruited from within. Establishing the facts about the career pathways of senior people helps to provide pointers for future strategies to attract, retain and develop leaders. The paper also offers insights for individuals with public sector career ambitions.
