The Policy Officers' Network is pleased to announce the next in its series of free seminars: The Future of Work and Public PolicyPresented by Ms Pru Goward
Pru Goward was appointed Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner in July 2001 after an extensive career as a national affairs journalist with ABC Radio and as a political commentator.
More recently Pru has been involved in issues of women's rights. As First Assistant Secretary of the Office of the Status of Women (reporting directly to the Prime Minister) Pru presided over the introduction of the first national program for the prevention of domestic violence (with a budget of $50 million) and oversaw the introduction of reform to superannuation laws for divorced couples.
Join Pru for a discussion on the future of work and some of the implications for public policy.
