GOLD SECURITY GROUP (INTERNATIONAL) PTY LTD

    Certificate III in Security (Guarding)
    [PRS30198]

    Application

The qualification of Certificate III in Security (Guarding) is a qualification for personnel experienced in security who wish to progress in that field. A number of organisations prescribe this qualification as the minimum for employment of their own staff and for utilisation of contract staff from other providers.

Training and standards in the security industry have recently been subject to a strategic audit. This has resulted in a more professional approach by the organisations making up the diverse aspects of security. Ironically the review process coincided with the global events that have seen an enormous upgrade in security arrangements at so many facilities.

    Course Structure and Process

Course duration runs for seven (7) days over two (2) weeks. Participants usually number about ten (10) per course ensuring close individual attention. Ideally, the participants have experience with security in the workplace, although not necessarily as security officers. They receive a Qualification Certificate and Recognition of Achievement upon successful completion of the requirements.

Eighteen (18) units are required to complete the qualification comprised of eight (8) core, and ten (10) electives. These are grouped into four (4) broad clusters for the purposes of facilitating training delivery and assessment
