'CREATING INNOVATIVE LEARNING PATHWAYS FOR YOUTH: A PERSONAL
PERSPECTIVE'

This seminar is for managers and senior managers who wish to hear one
view on the issues and challenges faced in creating clear and innovative
pathways for young people so that they move to a point of being active
and participating members of the community. The presenter, Mark Anderson
will draw on over 20 years experience in developing stronger, and more
resilient individuals, families and communities. He will focus on the
important role the education and training sector needs to play to assist
in the progression from dependency to employment.
The seminar will focus on:
* The changing education and VET industry and the opportunities
this brings;
* ANTA's focus on exploring the recognition of participation and
the potential this will bring to articulation;
* The presentation model for value adding to person's learning
from education through to training and employment;
* Partnership approach with the community, training sector,
government and the corporate sector; and
* A suggested paradigm shift to learning in a new framework.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?:
Senior personnel in the VET and Education sectors including senior
executives and managers in public and private organisations with a
training, learning and educational focus; managers in community
development; managers and officers who work in the Youth sector; human
resource and workforce management personnel, lecturers, trainers,
teachers, and researchers in management and education and training
development.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON THE PRESENTER, MARK ANDERSON
Mark Anderson has been involved in community work in Western Australia
for the last 21 years. He has held key roles on both state and national
boards retiring last year as the Chair of the Youth Affairs Council of
WA. He currently holds positions on the Commonwealth's State Advisory
Group for Family and Community Services, Peel Development Commission
Board and Curtin University Partnership Group to name just a few. During
his speech, Mark will draw in his years of experience in working with
rural, remote and urban communities in WA in the areas of community
development, education and training. He is a sought after public
speaker and a recognised leader in his field, much valued for his wealth
of expertise.
