The Public Sector Management Act 1994 provides the Minister for Public
Sector Management with the authority to approve procedures for the
administration of the public sector of Western Australia.
I wish to advise that two (2) new Approved Procedures have been
endorsed and apply to the entire public sector, inclusive of the public
service.
Approved Procedure 6 - Specialist Positions provides for employing
authorities, subject to approval, to remunerate a position beyond the
scope of the broadband classification system.
Approved Procedure 7 - Attraction and Retention Benefits provides for
employing authorities, subject to approval, to provide a benefit to
attract potential employees and to retain existing employees.
Copies of the Approved Procedures are now available in the publications
area of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet website
