The Public Sector Management Program is a nationally accredited,
tertiary level Graduate Certificate Program for middle to senior
managers in the State, Commonwealth and Local Government public sectors
across Australia. Previously called the Public Sector Management
Course, it has been in operation since 1992.
The Program is accredited by four leading univeristies: Curtin,
Griffith, Macquarie and RMIT. The newly developed curriculum was first
introduced in WA with the first Program intake in January 2003.
The next intake for the PSM Program commences in June 2004, with
applications closing on 7 May. The maximum number of participants in
each group is 30. The cost of the Program is $5,200 per participant,
and the fee is normally funded by the employing agency.
Those interested in finding out more about the Program are invited to
visit the WA website (www.psmprogram.wa.gov.au). Prior to submitting an
application for the Program, metropolitan participants are required to
attend a one hour Information Session. Interested regional participants
should contact the PSM Program Office to organise a telephone
appointment with the WA Coordinator, Ms Lorraine Telfer.
The next series of Information Sessions will be held at the Department
of The Premier and Cabinet on the dates indicated below. If you are
interested in attending one of these forums please RSVP as soon as
possible, preferably with at least three days notice.
