JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plans and coordinates arrangements for official government hospitality functions. Coordinates the selection and recording of official gifts, manages gift stock and provides advice on gift protocol. Manages the hospitality and gifts database. Assists with arrangements for official visits and State Government involvement in ceremonial and special events.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· High level planning and coordinating skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
· Ability to work without direct supervision and to contribute to a small team.
· Possession of current “A” class drivers licence.
· Willing to work outside normal business hours, as required.
· Competency with a variety of software applications (eg databases, word processing).
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
· Knowledge of ceremonial, protocol and hospitality procedures.
· Good general knowledge of Western Australian Government and private sector.
