JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duration: Up to six (6) months, or until the position is filled on a permanent basis. Commencing June 2003
This position is responsible for managing the Victim Support Service, which includes the Child Witness Service and the Family Violence Service, in the provision of services for victims of crime state-wide.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Behavioural Science.
* High level skills in resource and financial management, planning, monitoring and reporting, communication and counselling.
* Knowledge of the trends and developments in victimology.
* An understanding of the Western Australian Justice system.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Experience in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Trauma Management (highly desirable)
