JOB TYPE: Temporary Full-Time

DURATION: 12 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The PTA has a secondment opportunity for a Coordinator Contract Services
to work in our Finance Division for a 12 month period during a trial
restructure of the Contacts Branch. The successful secondee will:

         Provide advice on, and assistance with, the preparation of
Public Transport Authority tender and contract documentation.
*
        Coordinate internal tendering activities to ensure compliance
with Public Transport Authority policies, procedures and standards and
with Corporate expectations

Selection Criteria - ESSENTIAL:

* Demonstrated knowledge and application of State Supply
Commission and Government procurement policies and procedures.

* Proven understanding of and experience in tender and contract
development and management in a complex environment utilising internal
processes, guidelines and templates.

* Proven experience in the identification and resolution of
probity issues related to tendering and contracting activities.

* Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proven ability to analyse and resolve problems involving a
range of stakeholders.

* Demonstrated knowledge, and some understanding of contract and
commercial law as it applies to the procurement process within the
Western Australian public sector.

* Project Management experience with a proven ability to meet
milestones and deadlines.

* Able to competently use spreadsheet and word processing
software packages.

* Ability to work in a team and to contribute to the attainment
of team goals and outputs.
