CHALLENGING PUBLIC SECTOR REFORM OPPORTUNITIES
FUNCTIONAL REVIEW IMPLEMENTATION TEAM - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Expressions of Interest are sought from officers who are interested in being involved in the Functional Review Implementation Team.
In June 2002, the Premier announced the formation of a Taskforce to undertake a review into the effective delivery of Government priorities. The Taskforce provided its report to the Government on 9 December 2002, with the Functional Review Implementation Team (FRIT) established in 2003 to progress the recommendations.
On 28 July 2003, Cabinet endorsed the preferred models for the delivery of corporate services and procurement across the public sector. To assist with the next stages of work, a range of positions within the Corporate Services Reform area are being offered.
Secondments of up to 6 months in the first instance are called for, with the possibility of further extensions. Personnel in the PSA range of Levels 5-8 are invited to apply, however staff at other levels, who have relevant qualifications and experience, should also apply, as development opportunities may be offered.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they can work well in a small multi-disciplined team, work to tight deadlines, have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work independently.
Corporate Services Reform: various positions - Human Resources, Finance, Information Management and ICT.
· A specialist in Human Resource Management to provide leadership in planning for implementation of HR processes. The position will assist in the development of detailed process mapping, business requirements and implementation steps for all HR sub-processes. Level 6 - 8.
· A specialist in payroll with direct experience in managing/supervising activities that include capturing time and leave, payroll reporting and the management of payroll services. This position will assist in the development of detailed process mapping, business requirements and implementation steps for payroll activities. Level 4 - 6.
· A specialist in Financial Management with an understanding of accrual accounting principles and direct experience in managing / supervising activities relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance. Experience with systems implementation is also desirable. Levels 4-6.
· A specialist in the area of Information Management with an understanding of information management principles and how the online environment can be used to create efficient business systems. Level 4-6.
· ICT technical specialists experienced in development and support of access and integration facilities for packaged corporate services business applications. Level 5-8.
· Experienced professionals in the requirements design, selection and implementation of business applications to support corporate services activities. Level 6-8.
· An experienced HR professional to join the Change Management and Communications Team. This position will focus on developing and implementing diverse communication and stakeholder engagement strategies related to sector consultation, change management and transition activities. Level 6-7.
