JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the strategic direction, policy development, management and administration of the Office of E–Government. Ensures that an e-government strategy is developed and implemented across the Western Australian public sector.

***The Department of the Premier and Cabinet invites expressions of interest from suitable applicants for this challenging acting/secondment opportunity for a period of 6 months with a possible extension.

Permanent public sector employees will be considered on a secondment/acting basis so please check with your department/supervisor for possible release prior to submitting your application**

The ability to establish effective networks and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people is important to this criterion.

People Management
Promote a work environment that empowers, motivates and develops the diverse talents of people and ensures an optimum level of appropriately skilled employees. Promotes cultural diversity principles and objectives.

Management of Physical and Financial Resources
In an environment of constraint ensure that the office’s resources including financial, physical, technological and information resources are available to maintain product/service delivery.

Policy and Strategic Development
Recognise opportunities to enhance product/service delivery and capitalise on these through effective change strategies. This includes initiating policy development and review within a public policy environment. The ability to demonstrate conceptual, analytical and promotional skills is fundamental to this criterion.

Achievement of Outcomes
Deliver products/services consistent with customer needs and defined quality expectation (including timeliness).

When addressing all of the above selection criteria it is appropriate to include evidence of the following:
· Tertiary qualifications
· Understanding of the use of technology as a tool to achieve the strategic transformation of government operations.
