JOB DESCRIPTION:
An opportunity exists to gain experience in a customer service environment. Successful applicants will be supported by the section Manager, Team Co-ordinators and the TIS team. This is an important role, providing effective, efficient frontline service to DLI’s customers as well as becoming an integral part of the TIS team.
The successful applicant will commence Monday 3rd November 2003 for a period of 3 months with a possible extension of up to another 3 months.
The key responsibilities of the position include:
 Providing Quality Customer Service to DLI’s customers both internal and external
 Responding to e-mail, telephone, facsimile, personal and mail enquiries for tenure information and on-line searching systems
 Assisting in mentoring and coaching co-workers
 Assisting with the administration of the section
 Performing multiple duties, prioritise tasks, and to demonstrate initiative
 Rostered hours to ensure customer service is maintained.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

The position focuses on demonstrating competency in the following:

 The ability to effectively ensure the timely delivery of products and services in line with customer needs in a land information environment including the ability to build & maintain customer relationships
Teamwork
 Ability to work effectively in a team, contributing to the achievement of team goals including the capacity to lead and motivate other team members.
Innovation & Creativity
 Demonstrate initiative and the ability to contribute and participate in identifying and suggesting improvements to work processes and practices. Example should also include participating in the implementation of new initiatives.
Communication
 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills, applicable to the frontline presentation of a highly technical and professional government service.
