JOB DESCRIPTION: The Prisons Division is responsible for the provision of corrective services in Western Australia, the outcomes being premised on the four cornerstones of custody and containment; rehabilitation and reintegration; reparation to the community; and care and well being of prisoners.
The Program Manager Succession Management will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of Prisons Division through researching, developing, implementing, evaluating and reporting on succession management strategies across the Division. The Program Manager Succession Management will develop strategies to develop managers within Prison Services and provide the support and feedback necessary to encourage staff to identify and move into developmental activities. The Succession Management Program will specifically seek to develop staff suitable for middle and senior management within Public Prisons. The Program Manager will effectively implement organisational change using appropriate strategies in accordance with Public Sector standards.
