SALARY: L6, $60,378-$66,859pa

JOB TYPE: Temporary Full-Time

DURATION: 6 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Contributes to the development and management of the Human Resource Team as a member of the Consultants Team.
Provides a professional industrial relations consultancy and advisory service to the management and staff.
Provides a professional Classification consultancy and advisory service to the management and staff.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Proven experience to interpret and explain Awards/Agreements, Industrial legislation and employment law;
· Proven experience at a senior level to liaise and negotiate effectively with Unions to achieve desired organisational outcomes;
· Proven experience at representation before relevant industrial tribunals with desired outcomes;
· Substantial knowledge of State Labour Relations systems, legislation, policies and practices and current labour relations issues;
· High level of communication and interpersonal skills;
· Proven ability to initiate and develop new approaches to employee relations and to manage change;
· Proven ability to contribute to and work as an effective member of a team, including a commitment to EEO.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
· Experience in Public Sector Labour Relations;
· Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline including Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management;
· Experience at classification determination;
· Project management skills.
