SALARY: $51,884 - $57,342 pa

JOB TYPE: Temporary Full-Time

DURATION: 4 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develops and provides information on behalf of WAPC on whole of Government reporting (via the Treasury Management Information System (TMIS).
Coordinates and undertakes the reconciliation of the WAPC accounts payable and receivable.
Assists with the evaluation, development and planning of WAPC’s business operations.
Assists with the monitoring and preparation of WAPC’s recurrent budget and business process.
Provides financial and budgetary advice to the Client Manager WAPC.
Performs ad-hoc project accounting tasks.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Considerable knowledge and experience of financial and economic management services including management reporting, resource costing and management, business planning and budget procedures.

Well developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Written and oral communication skills including sound report writing skills.

Interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Proven ability to interpret the Financial Administration & Audit Act and other relevant legislation

Experience applying quality management and continuous improvement methods to the job.

Understanding of, and commitment to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Occupational Safety and Health and the Code of Ethics.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Eligible for membership of an Australian professional accounting association.

Significant progress towards tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

Knowledge of WAPC’s operations.
