JOB DESCRIPTION:
Expressions of Interest are sought from officers interested in acting in the above position for a period of approximately 3 months with a view to possibly converting to permanent – subject to performance and an existing position being vacant.
Key duties of this role include:
 Performs data entry services for Interim and General Valuation purposes and assists in the provision of administrative and financial services
 Performs data entry of property and land details for Interim and General Valuation purposes.
 Carries out searches and verification of property and land details on the database.
 Attends to queries regarding information on the database.
 Uses GIS applications to generate plots.
 Attends to public counter, telephone and written enquiries.
 Extracts sales data, plots sales maps and undertakes sales of other Office products.
 Operates cash float and EFTPOS facility.
 Records incoming correspondence via computerised records and job management system in accordance with set procedures.
 Updates and maintains records and job management systems.
 Types general correspondence and reports.
 Assists with the processing of Valuation schedules and reports, purchasing of stores and stationery, recording of statistical data and administrative tasks.
 Maintains and files valuation records and sales maps.
 Maintains statistics as required.
 Assists Supervisor, Valuation Services and Valuation Staff.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Demonstrate effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise, build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Achievement of Outcomes
Demonstrate the ability to prioritise personal workload to facilitate the timely delivery of key business objectives.
Customer and Team Focus
Demonstrate an ability to contribute to a customer-oriented team to ensure that the needs of the clients are met in a prompt and timely manner.
Position specific skills and abilities
Demonstrate a proven ability to efficiently utilise a range of PC applications. The ability to manage, maintain and extract information from various land information databases is important to this criterion.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Applicants are expected to provide evidence of competence in the above. Evidence of competency could also include (in addition to other evidence):
· A commitment to self development
· Awareness of the Valuation of Land Act and Government financial procedures
· Keyboard skills
