Commencing as soon as possible for a six month period
The Economic Regulation Authority was established on 1 January 2004. As the organisational structure for the Authority is being developed the job description for this position is under review.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides professional assistance in the preparation, review and evaluation of water service licences, assists the Authority in its decisions in accordance with the Water Services Licensing Act 1995 and provides professional support in relation to monitoring the performance of the licensing scheme.
SELECTION CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL
Conducts and coordinates research into utilities and analyses data, information and reform options for improving service performance. Manages and maintains an efficient and confidential licensing database. Assists with the implementation and subsequent evaluation of ERA program initiatives. Provides information on trends and research relevant to the work of the ERA and communicates findings to management, community groups and other interested parties. Drafts briefing notes and reports, as requested. Represents ERA on working parties and committees as required. Other duties as required.
DESIRABLE
A working knowledge of the water industry.
