Training and Development Officer

Commencing as soon as possible for up to 5 months

Job Description:
In accordance with the principles of inclusiveness, engagaement, capacity builidng and collaboration;
- Designs and develops outcome-based training programs
- Presents training and development programs and assesses learners against stated competency standards based on the learner's performance in a variety of settings
- Analyses and assesses training and development needs for service delivery (departmental and non-government)
- Undertakes evaluation and review of training and development activities and monitors outcomes of training
Selection Criteria:
ESSENTIAL
Demonstrated competency in:
1. Design and delivery of outcome based training.
2. Assessment of learners against agreed course outcomes.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of training needs analysis, training design concepts, familitation and delivery techniques.
4. Demonstrated experience in delivering training in human services.
5. Commitment to the application of EEO principles and practices.
DESIRABLE
6. Experience in one of a range of flexible delivery techniques including interactive television, correspondence learning and workplace training.
7. Experience in design, delivery and assessment of nationally accredited competency based training.
8. Qualification in a range of relevant discipline.
9. Current understanding of the non-government human services sector in Western Australia.
