JOB DESCRIPTION:
The major responsibility of the position is to ensure accurate processing of payments and receipts in accordance with the relevant legislation and related policies and procedures.
Additionally, the incumbent monitors and maintains accurate records of collections and payments; this includes the Return Cheque Register and an appropriate batch filing system. The position is also required to attend to administrative functions such as dealing with incoming inquiries, sorting and distribution of mail for the area and daily banking.
Internally, the incumbent liaises with various personnel within the WA Police Service. External contacts of the position include debtors and vendors.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Interpersonal and communication skills oral and written
Customer service skills
Anility to work in a team environment
Experience in the use of personal computers
