In the R2-R15 Codes, a rear setback is required.

    1. For R5-R15 the other/rear requirements are specified as */6, I assume the "*" applies to sides and the "6" applies to the rear?
    2. What is considered to be a rear boundary given lots can be irregular shapes and who determines what the rear boundary may be??
    3. There seems to be no provision in the "acceptable development" criteria to allow a rear and side boundary be interchanged, as was permitted in the 1991- RPC
    4. There seems to be no provision in the "acceptable development" criteria to consider an averageing of the rear setback as was permitted in the RPC, is there reason for this.
    5. Could a definition of rear setback be provided to assist?

    Outbuildings - 3.10.1 Acceptable criteria

    1. In the acceptable criteria A1ix, an outbuilding does not need to comply with the rear setback requirements of Table 1, which also includes the reference to Table 2 setback requirements. Does this mean that outbuildings may have a nil setback to a boundary as of right?, Common sense would apply Table 2 but perhaps some clarity may be needed?
    2. In the zones R2 and R2.5, it is acceptable to be up to the rear boundary but setback from the side boundary 7.5-10m. Is there a reason for this or could it be considered to also not apply the side setback requirement? or in the lower densities should greater setbacks from both side and rear boundaries be applied?
