A twelve (12) month secondment/acting position is offered for interested
persons to undertake the role of Personal Assistant at the Public Affairs
Branch of the WA Police Service.

DURATION: 12 months -
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position's primary role is to provide secretarial support to the
Director, Media & Public Affairs. This is achieved by preparing
correspondence for the Director, taking minutes, preparing transcripts and
answering dealing with telephone enquiries.
The position also undertakes reception and general clerical duties for the
Directorate involving vetting telephone calls, organising meetings and
maintaining reference lists.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Applicants are expected to respond to the following criteria:
* Oral and written communication skills;
* Ability to use personal computer & related software;
* Interpersonal skills;
* Experience in the provision of administrative and secretarial
support
* Organisational skills.
* Demonstrate well-developed communication, interpersonal and
negotiation skills, including the ability to maintain positive relationships
with stakeholders, customers and other service providers.
