JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position is offered for a 6 month period with a possible 3 month extension.
This position provides support and assistance in Project Managing the National Communications Fund/Network WA project.
***Permanent public sector employees will be considered on a secondment/acting basis so please check with your Department or supervisor for possible release prior to submitting your application.***
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
1. Demonstrated conceptual and analytical ability, including the ability to identify problems and provide overviews and strategies to address them.
2. Well developed communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels, the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships and collaboration, liaison and negotiation skills.
3. Well developed project management skills including demonstrated experience in the management of time-lines, physical and financial resources.
4. Understanding of regional telecommunication issues relating to education and health services.
5. Understanding of government procurement processes, contract management and Government panel contracts for telecommunication services.
