LOCATION: Domestic Violence Unit, Joondalup
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides crisis support and intervention to victims of family violence.
Liaises with Police and other key agencies. Provides training, community education and promotes the development of the Family Violence Court. Assists with recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteer staff.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential Skills:
* Crisis intervention
* Communication
* Analytical and conceptual skills
* Relationship building and networking.
Essential Knowledge:
* Demonstrated knowledge of the issues for victims of crime and dynamics of family violence.
* Knowledge and ability to work with volunteers.
* Understanding of and ability to work within the Criminal Justice System.
Essential Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or Behavioural Science
