JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assists the Team Leader Recruitment Services in advertising, selection and filling of vacant positions, secondments, transfers and temporary deployment (acting) opportunities across the Department
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
1. Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels to achieve positive outcomes
2. Working knowledge of the Public Sector Management Act/Regulations and Public Sector Standards in particular to recruitment, selection, and appointment, transfer, secondment, redeployment, termination and temporary deployment (acting)
3. Ability to interpret and provide general advice on policies and procedures
4. Organisation skills, and the ability to meet set deadlines
5. Experience in the use of a computerised Human Resource Information System or Payroll System and commitment to attention to detail in entering data
6. Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment as a team member
7. Understanding of equal employment principles and practices and occupational safety and health provisions
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with confidential material and information
9. Wordprocessing skills and knowledge of email and electronic diary systems
