Expressions of Interest are sought to act in the following position for an
initial period of three months with a possibility of an extension. The WA
Police Service wishes to fill this position and create a pool of suitable
applicants to fill other, similar, positions as they arise up to June 2004.

ROLE OF THE POSITION:
The major responsibility of the position is to ensure the accurate and
prompt payment of accounts in accordance with relevant legislation (FAAA,
taxation and other relevant legislation) and related policies and
procedures.
Internally the position liases with members of the WA Police Service on
matters relating to payment for goods/services. This position also liaises
with external suppliers in relation to the payment of goods/services.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
* Oral and written communication skills
* Interpersonal and customer service skills
* Analytical skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Experience in financial accounting procedures and practices
* Experience in the use of a personal computer
