DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you interested in being part of the small but dynamic FuelWatch team responsible for regulating fuel prices in WA?
The Industry Analyst is responsible for policy development and managing a range of projects related to wholesale and retail fuel pricing issues. Experience in the petroleum industry is not required but policy experience (or clear evidence of capability of working in that field) is essential.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Experience:
Essential:
* Tertiary qualifications or significant progress towards a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Commerce, Law, Economics, Business or similar.
* Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of public policy, procedural and legislative requirements or the ability to work effectively in that environment
* Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to provide innovative thinking in solving problems of a complex nature.
* Highly developed communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake research using a variety of resources.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be flexible and organised in working within a team and with clients.
Desirable:
* Proven experience or ability to undertake quantitative analysis.
