Economist - Pool Recruitment Opportunity

Outstanding opportunities now exist to join the Department of Agriculture
and make an important contribution to the State's agricultural industries.
Working often as part of multidisciplinary teams, Economists are involved in
economic research and analysis with the aim of solving complex problems and
providing advice to key stakeholders on key areas of research and policy
development and performance.
Research economists have an opportunity to engage with farmers, agribusienss
and senior management across a variety of issues. The role allows for
diverse challenges that makes for interesting, intellectual and practical
challenges.
Successful applicants for the pool will demonstrate the ability to carry out
economic analysis activities. Preference will be given to applicants with
demonstrated knowledge and/or experience relevant to agricultural and
resource economics.

Salary: Level 2, 3, 4, 2/4 or 5 salary package $39,670 - $63, 272 pa PSGA
plus allowances as applicable. Level of appointment within the salary range
will depend on qualifications and/or experience.
Tenure: Permanent, casual and/or fixed term appointments for periods up to
five (5) years. Consideration may then be given to offering further terms
or permanent appointment subject to conditions.
