Are you interested in working in Western Australia's glorious Wheatbelt region, which is only an hour from Perth? Or working collaboratively with other professionals in the social work field, who are committed and focussed in providing community development services to families? Northam is a friendly town, rich in local history that sits on the picturesque Avon River, and its District Office is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team.
This is an integral position in our office, where you will undertake individual, group and community interventions utilising psychological expertise within a team context, in accordance with the principles of engagement, inclusiveness, collaboration and capacity building.
You must possess formal qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or equivalent and be eligible for registration with the Psychologist Board of Western Australia. In addition, you will have a strong commitment to empirically based models of practice, possess a range of psychological skills and knowledge relevant to family and children's services setting and be able to work effectively with other Departmental staff in a culturally sensitive manner.
Travel throughout the region is also required, in which you will be able to take in the other Wheatbelt offices of Moora, Merredin and Narrogin.
