Period of Acting: 3 months with the possibility of a 3 month extension.
Expressions of interest are invited for the above position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Policy & Administration Officer is responsible for providing support and advice to the Director Regulatory Services on strategic issues that improve the performance of the Branch. The Officer also provides executive support to the Electrical Licensing Board (ELB) and Gas Licensing Committee (GLC); is responsible for developing policy recommendations on electrical and gas regulatory matters; and prepares agendas and takes minutes at ELB and GLC meetings.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
ESSENTIAL
* Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills.
* Well developed verbal and written communications skills.
* Proven record of policy development and research.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and to propose amendments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team.
* Computer literacy, with experience in the use of database and word processing packages.
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work to achieve deadlines.
