DURATION: 3 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager Personnel Services is required to oversee the delivery of an effective and efficient personnel and payroll service across the Police Service. The position is also responsible for ensuring cost effective staff relocation services, including the transport and storage of staff property and the management and provision of Government Employees Housing Authority (GEHA) housing. In addition, the position is required to monitor and ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies in relation to these functions.

The position is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, administration and development of human resource information systems. The position also ensures human resource business needs are identified in order that suitable systems are developed and/or enhanced to meet those needs. This includes the implementation of automated and streamlined processes for personnel and payroll, as well as other areas of human resource management including recruitment, promotion, performance management, training and development, health and welfare.

The position is also responsible for the development and day-to-day management of contracts for outsourced services.

>From a management perspective, the position is required to perform all associated administrative functions and ensure sound management processes are established and adhered to. This includes efficiently and effectively managing related physical, financial, technological and human resources to achieve the required objectives.

The position consults and liaises with senior managers across the Agency in relation to personnel administration, staff relocation and human resource information system matters. In addition, the position is required to liaise with a wide range of external consultants and stakeholders, as well as public and private sector organisations, especially in the context of human resource information system developments and enhancements.
