JOB TYPE: Temporary Full-Time
DURATION: 6 months
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To develop, implement and review policy on behalf of the Commission, which includes the review of legislation.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Skills in strategy development and policy formulation with a well developed understanding of planning and evaluation concepts and processes.
Experience in conducting research, using conceptual, analytical and problem solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write quality materials, including reports.
The skills and attributes to personally contribute effectively as a team member.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with major stakeholders and customers, internal and external to the organisation.
Ability to independently manage a diverse workload and use initiative.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as public policy or management.
Knowledge and understanding of major policy issues and current trends and developments in election management.
Ability to understand relevant legislation and the ability to interpret, apply and provide guidance on the legislation.

COMMENTS:
Consideration will be given for part time hours at 45 hours per fortnight. Please indicate in your application whether you are interested in part time or full time employment.
