DURATION: 9 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Expressions of interest are sought from Officers for the above position commencing as soon as possible for a period of 3 months or once the recruitment and selection process is completed. Applications will also be called from outside the agency and the position will also be advertised in the next available Intersector.

A brief description of the duties is:
Responsible for the compliance and integration of software, hardware and applications and ensures compatibility to DLI’s operating environment

Responsibilities of this position include:
 Reviews system requirements processes and documents for release into production.

 Undertakes the prioritisation and coordination of process control, system testing and migration to production.

 Undertakes activities that contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of corporate systems and DLI’s IT framework

 Prepares reports and provides advice, consultancy and liaison with internal and external customers and stakeholders.

 Assists in the prompt resolution of infrastructure and application support issues through effective consultation and liaison with service providers, internal customers and stakeholders.

 Advises specific projects to resolve system integration and change control issues.

 Assists in the development of standards and procedures for production support activities

 Monitors and reports compliance in regards to implementation and changes.

 Assists with the establishment and maintenance of annual work programs with respect to project and activity planning, management and liaison for both the corporate infrastructure and application services.

 Works with Project Teams and application developers to ensure applications are tested, appropriately implemented and are compatible with DLI’s operating environment.

 Negotiates priority and application integration through liaison with project teams, service providers and key stakeholders.

 Liaises with business and technical support areas on resourcing requirements for support activities.

Keen and motivated with a focus on achieving results. Demonstrate ability to analyse and document complex business processes and related information systems and business analysis experience related to software development and testing. In doing so is able to work independently to prioritise and set goals in line with the objectives of the organisation and customer needs. Demonstrates sound understanding of contemporary issues and trends as they relate to the information technology and/or information management environment.

 Initiative
Acts with integrity, earns trust and respect and follows through on actions. Shows commitment to and values diversity of people. Takes action without being asked or required to do so.

 Job Specific

 project management and scheduling skills.
