TEAM LEADER - EMPLOYEE RELATIONS TEAM

(Full-time, secondment/fixed term appointment for 12 - 13 months)

Due to a pending period of parental leave a temporary vacancy exists for an experienced Employee Relations professional to undertake this important role commencing March 2004.

We require a person with strong management and leadership skills to manage the operations of the Employee Relations Team and to provide high level advice in the Enterprise Bargaining process and support to the University's Enterprise Bargaining Negotiation Team.

The major accountabilities of this position include:

1. Employee Relations issues :

        Manage the provision of advice and assistance to customers throughout the University on all matters within the Employee Relations Team sphere of responsibility, including staff equity and diversity related matters.

2. Enterprise Bargaining :

Manage the Enterprise Bargaining processes currently underway including responsibility for the provision of high level administrative, organisational and research support to the University's Enterprise Bargaining Negotiation Team.

A tertiary qualification with relevant experience AND/OR an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of relevant experience and/or education and training is essential. A demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating outcomes with unions and the ability to use strong interpersonal and high level communications skills are also essential.
