JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lotterywest is providing an opportunity for interested staff to forward their expression of interest for Assistant Program Coordinator positions in the Lotterywest Grants and Community Development Directorate that may arise in the next 6 months as a result of anticipated temporary vacancies.
Thanks to the thousands of West Australians, who play our games, Lotterywest is able to provide grants to assist community organisations turn their ideas into reality through a managed Grant Program.
 Investigates, evaluates and makes recommendations on grant applications.
 Advises community groups on Lotterywest’s funding programs and grants eligibility,
 Contributes with other team members to the development and management of the self-managed Programs Team.
 Contributes to Grants & Community Development policy and programs, including grants and budgets.
 Assists in the management of specified funding programs, including grants and budgets.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
 Knowledge of program management within the not-for-profit community sector.
 Understanding of the principles and application of community development.
 Knowledge of the processes involved in policy development, implementation and evaluation.
 Sound interpersonal skills and demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
 Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as a team member.
 Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills.
 Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles.
 Demonstrated analytical, research and evaluation skills.
 Word processing skills and experience with computer based systems.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
 Understanding of the government and non-government community services sector.
 Knowledge of Lotterywest functions, legislation and ability to understand other relevant legal issues.
 Experience in working with the non-government sector.
