Expressions of Interest are invited for a 3 month Contract/Secondment
Opportunity in the Department's Policy and Coordination Directorate.
Competent, motivated people with a genuine interest in Indigenous issues are
encouraged to apply.
Position Details: Regional Officer, MET006
Level: 4/5
Location: Midland
Period of Vacancy: 3 months
Duties: Ascertains needs and provides information, advice and advocacy
support to Indigenous communities, families and individuals in the local
area. Informs Government of unmet needs and priority issues. Monitors and
facilitates co-ordination of services across agencies. Promotes greater
involvement of Indigenous Australians in policy development, program design
and project management. Develops strategies to promote and conserve
Indigenous sites, culture, land access and land ownership. Administers the
Department's services in the local area.
