DURATION: 3 months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a suitably qualified dynamic person to work as part of a team providing high level policy, research and strategic support to the arts and culture portfolio. This position works in a range of areas relating to the Division’s key responsibilities, with particular responsibility for capital works and planning and across Government policy development.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Experience and demonstrated high level abilities in the areas of:
Provision of arts and cultural policy formulation and advice.
Relevant project management (preferably in the capital works areas) requiring quality outcomes with challenging timelines.
Sound Knowledge of:
Current trends and issues in the cultural and arts sector at both Federal and State level
Processes involved in arts policy development, consultation, review and evaluation.
Current trends and issues across State Government
Government processes and structures.
High level skills in the areas of:
Interpersonal skills and oral and written communications.
Demonstrated understanding of responsibility in relation to equal opportunity and Occupational Safety and Health legislation in the workplace

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Relevant tertiary qualification
